Competition Categories:

  • Instrumental Performance
    (classical, pop, folk, jazz — solo performances on various instruments, ensembles, piano ensembles (four hands on one piano), compulsory/general piano, orchestras);
  • Vocal Performance
    (classical, folk, folklore, pop, jazz, choral singing, show groups — soloists, duets, trios, ensembles, choirs);
  • Dance Performance
    (folk dance, pop dance, classical dance, modern, jazz-modern, free plastic movement, breakdance, children’s dance, sports ballroom dance — soloists and ensembles);
  • Decorative and Applied Arts;
  • Fashion Theatre
    (fashion theatres and young designers);
  • Original Genre
    (artistic reading, circus arts, and others);
  • Theatrical Arts
    (miniatures, excerpts from performances, puppet theatre, plastic theatre, dance theatre, and others);
  • Hosts of Game and Entertainment Programs for Children and Youth;
  • Master of Ceremonies / Presenter;
  • Other categories
    (in accordance with submitted applications).

Age Categories:

  • Category 1: up to 6 years
  • Category 2: 6–8 years
  • Category 3: 9–11 years
  • Category 4: 12–14 years
  • Category 5: 15–17 years
  • Category 6: 18–20 years
  • Category 7: 21 years and older, including the “Professional” category
  • MIX Category

Jury: International Jury

The competition is held in the form of live performances in the presence of the jury and audience.

The performances of groups are evaluated by a professional jury.

Any violation of the competition regulations results in a loss of points.

The decisions of the jury are final and not subject to appeal.

The Organizing Committee does not influence the scoring or the awarding of titles by the jury members.


General Evaluation Criteria:

The competition applies a qualification-based evaluation system.

The competitive program is evaluated taking into account the age of the performers as stated in the applications.

Participants are evaluated within each category according to their age group. The jury conducts closed voting based on the following criteria:
performance skills; artistic expressiveness of the act (compositional, thematic, and musical integrity of the artistic image); stage presentation (plasticity, costume, performance culture); originality and performance energy; artistry, interpretation of the artistic image, repertoire selection and its suitability for the age of the performers, as well as audience response.


Awards:

The results and award ceremonies are conducted separately for each category and age group and include the awarding of the Grand Prix, as well as Laureate of I, II, and III Degrees, festival participant diplomas, special diplomas, and other awards.

The number of prize diplomas is not limited and depends solely on the level of the performances presented.

Grand Prix winners receive cash prizes.
Laureates of the 1st Degree receive diplomas and commemorative branded statuettes of the Organizing Committee of International Competitions and Festivals “World Music in Kazakhstan.”
Laureates of the 2nd and 3rd Degrees receive diplomas and medals.

All teachers and accompanists receive certificates and letters of appreciation.

Winners of the HOST COMPETITION will be invited to future events organized by World Music in Kazakhstan.

The jury has the right to share prize places among participants.

The Organizing Committee has the right to add categories and divide age groups according to submitted applications.


Financial Conditions (Participation Fee):

  • Soloists — 15,000 KZT (30 EUR)
  • Duets, trios, quartets, quintets — 9,000 KZT per participant (20 EUR)
  • Groups:
    • 6–10 participants — 8,000 KZT per participant (15 EUR)
    • More than 10 participants — 6,500 KZT per participant (12 EUR)

Participation in two or more categories: each additional category is subject to a 30% discount.


Estimated Accommodation Package for Groups of More Than 10 Participants:

From 130 EUR, including:

  • airport/hotel/airport or railway station/hotel/railway station transfers;
  • 2 nights of hotel accommodation;
  • 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners;
  • transportation to the competition venue;
  • city tour of Almaty;
  • 1 group leader per 10 participants — free of charge.

The number of days may be extended. Available for groups only.
Individual participants arrange their accommodation independently.
