VI International Piano Competition  Singing piano

Applications and group lists are accepted until March 15, 2025.

Pianists aged 10 to 23, students of music schools, art schools, specialized schools, music colleges, and higher music education institutions are invited to participate.

1st round – Polyphony and Etude
2nd round – National piece or extended/virtuoso piece and large form (1st movement or 2nd and 3rd movements of a classical sonata or classical variations or 1st movement of a concerto).

The program must correspond to the participant’s age or be higher in complexity.
The competition uses a competitive-qualification principle for evaluating the competition program.
The jury evaluates on a 100-point system.
Participants scoring 80 points are admitted to the second round.

Competition Awards:

The results of the competition and awards are conducted separately by age groups and include:

  • Awarding the Grand Prix (200 points in total for 2 rounds) and an equivalent of $300.
  • Titles of laureates of I, II, III degrees, cash prizes or valuable prizes for the winners of the 1st prize, special diplomas, and more.
  • For participants who did not pass to the 2nd round and beyond, participation diplomas of the “Singing Piano” competition are issued.

The jury has the right to:

  • Divide places among participants with equal points (the prize is divided accordingly).
  • Not award the Grand Prix if there is no candidate with the maximum score.
  • Add previously unannounced prize nominations (for the best performance of polyphony, national piece, etc.) if there is a free prize fund.

The prize fund is formed from the registration fee of participants and directly depends on their number.

Financial conditions (organizational fee):

  • For participants aged 10-12 and 13-15 years, the fee is $80.
  • For participants aged 16-19 and 20 and older, the fee is $100.
  • In case of refusal to participate in the competition, the fee is non-refundable.

Full payment must be made by April 1, 2024.
Accreditation materials should be sent electronically! Handwritten and phone applications are NOT accepted. Each participant’s application must be sent as a separate file. The file should be named: Participant’s full name, age, nomination, city.
Submitting an application implies FULL AGREEMENT with the competition conditions and GUARANTEE of payment. After the application deadline, the registration fee is NON-REFUNDABLE!
For guests from other cities and countries, we organize invitations for visa applications, air tickets, and hotel accommodation.

Accommodation Program:

Economy option: $250 + registration fee
Includes: 4 nights in a hotel with 2-3-4 people per room, breakfasts, airport or train station transfers, and a sightseeing tour of Tashkent.

Comfort Accommodation Program (example, provided upon request):

Day 1:

  • Meeting at the airport (train station or checkpoint). Arrival in Tashkent.
  • Hotel accommodation.
  • Registration at the Organizing Committee.
  • Lunch at a café.
  • Excursion program in Tashkent: Visit to Kukeldash Madrasah (16th century); Visit to Hast Imam Complex with the sacred Quran (644-656 AD): Kaffal-Shashi Madrasah (16th century); Barak-Khan Madrasah (16th century); Orthodox Church, Catholic Church, Modern City Amir Temur Square; Independence Square, Courage Monument, and Alisher Navoi Park; Tashkent Metro (if possible).
  • Dinner at a café.

Day 2:

  • Breakfast.
  • 09:00-12:00 Festival opening. Start of competition performances.
  • 13:00 Lunch at a café.
  • 15:00-19:00 Competition auditions.
  • 19:00 Dinner at a café.

Day 3:

  • Breakfast. Free day or trip to Samarkand.
  • 07:30 Departure to Samarkand. Arrival in Samarkand.
  • Meeting at Samarkand train station. Full-day excursion program in Samarkand: City tours: Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum (1404) (note the famous Kok-Tash throne stone, where representatives of the Shaybanid dynasty were crowned (16th century); Timurids’ ablution bowl, Rukhobod (14th century) (legend says it contains the hair of Prophet Muhammad. According to one version, the mausoleum is over the grave of Sheikh Burhanuddin Sagardji), Aksaray (15th century), then Registan Ensemble, consisting of three madrasahs: Ulugh Beg Madrasah (1417-1420), Sher-Dor Madrasah (1619-1636), and Tilla-Kari Madrasah (1646-1660). Madrasahs are Muslim educational institutions for clergy training.
  • 14:00 Lunch at a café.
  • 14:00 Continuation of the excursion program. Visit to the largest mosque in Asia, Bibi-Khanym. Architectural complex “Shakhi-Zinda” (11th-15th centuries), Ulugh Beg Observatory.
  • Museum and ruins of the old city of Afrasiab (8th century). Afrasiab is believed to have been the ancient Sogdian capital – the famous Marakanda.
  • Dinner. Transfer to the train station.
  • 18:00 Departure to Tashkent by comfortable high-speed train.
  • 22:00 Arrival in Tashkent. Hotel accommodation. Rest. (Option to extend stay for 1 day for a tour to Bukhara).

Day 4:

  • Breakfast. Continuation of the Tashkent tour: photo session in the “Tashkent Metro” with exits at several Tashkent squares. Optional visit to the shopping row or TSUM.
  • 13:00 Lunch at a café.
  • 16:00 Award ceremony. Gala concert and official awarding of all participants. The jury and the Organizing Committee approve the numbers for the gala concert. Participation in the Gala concert is mandatory.
  • 18:00 Round table for leaders.
  • 19:00 Dinner at a café.

Day 5:

  • Breakfast. Farewell at the checkpoint or airport. Option to extend the program for a visit to Bukhara.

Cost: $400

  • International standard diplomas and certificates.

Not included:

  • Registration fee.
  • Participation in a second nomination (40% discount).
  • Trip to Bukhara $130 (train, transfer, extra night, excursion, dinner. Lunch on your own).
  • Personal expenses.
  • Arrival at Bukhara or Samarkand airport (program recalculation in this case).

*In the “Number of people” field, if you have multiple participants and they are accompanied by common leaders and chaperones, fill them out in ONLY ONE application!!! There is no need to list chaperones in each application. Alternatively, make a note that the leaders and chaperones are listed under another participant (provide the full name).

ATTENTION! THE APPLICATION (if it cannot be accurately completed at the submission stage) can be supplemented or corrected by you before the trip (EXCEPT FOR SOME FIELDS) in agreement with the organizing committee.
