«Organizing Committee of international competitions and festivals “World Music in Kazakhstan” together with the International European Organizing Committee “Alliance of talents”

Participants: soloists, ensembles of all genres and directions, creative teams, representatives of fine and arts and crafts, as well as any children’s, youth, student and adult theater and circus groups, as well as those wishing to take part in the “Leader” nomination. The age of participants is not limited. Teachers of soloists and ensembles are also allowed to participate in the festival-competition, but with a separate application marked “professional”.

The age of participants in all nominations of the competition is not limited.

Goals and objectives of the festival-competition:

  • Promotion and popularization of the ideas of humanism and continuity of generations through the comprehensive creative development of the individual;
  • preservation and development of national cultures, strengthening interethnic ties and cooperation;
  • creating an environment and conditions for creative communication among young people;
  • nurturing artistic taste and introducing young performers to the best examples of world culture and art;
  • identifying talented gifted youth and promoting their creative growth;
  • increasing the professional level of creative teams and performers participating in the festival.
  • exchange of experience and creative achievements of festival participants;
  • creating conditions for creative communication and identifying talents;
  • attracting leading cultural specialists and artists to cooperation with creative teams;
  • establishing creative contacts between team leaders;
  • improving the professional skills and qualifications of creative team leaders;
  • creating an atmosphere of creative celebration.

Competition nominations:

  • instrumental creativity (classical, pop, folk, jazz (solo on various instruments, ensembles, piano ensembles (4 hands on this instrument) orchestras);
  • vocal creativity (classical, folk, folklore, pop, jazz, choral, show groups (solos, duets, trios, ensembles, choirs);
  • dance creativity (folk dance, pop dance, classical dance, modern, jazz-modern, free plastic, break dancing, children’s dance, sports ballroom dancing (solo and ensemble);
  • arts and crafts;
  • fashion theater (fashion theaters and young fashion designers);
  • original genre (literary reading, circus art, etc.); theatrical creativity (miniatures, excerpts from plays, puppet theater, plastic theaters, dance theaters and others);
  • other nominations (in accordance with accepted applications).

The competition is held in the form of an audition in the presence of a jury and the public.

The competitive performance of the teams is evaluated by a professional jury.

Any violation of the competition regulations entails the loss of points when assessing the team’s performance.

The decisions of the jury are not subject to appeal.

The organizing committee cannot influence the assessment of jury members and the awarding of titles to participants!

Organizational and technical requirements for the competition program:

Groups of instrumental, vocal and dance genres present 1 performance in one category, with a total duration of no more than 5 minutes.

Each performer in the “small forms” category (solo, duet, trio) presents 1 number with a total duration of no more than 5 minutes.

Theater groups present one performance lasting no more than 8 minutes. The competition performance can be performed in any language.

Performers in the “artistic word” nomination in the “small forms” category present 2 different performances (for example: verse and prose), with a total duration of no more than 5 minutes.

Circus art – any acts, with the exception of performances at height, that require work under a canopy or with a safety rope, as well as with large animals. Fire shows are possible by prior agreement and only outdoors.

Fashion theaters can present 1 collection show, with a total duration of no more than 8 minutes.

In the nomination “Decorative and Applied Creativity”, the competition program evaluates one’s own products/works in the amount of 1 piece. Technique of work – free in any technique of execution, works in a mat from whatman paper are accepted, be sure to indicate your full name. author, age and surname of the teacher, city.

For participants performing with a soundtrack: the recording must be sent by email in audio format.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Each sound recording must be a separate file. indicating the name of the ensemble / surname of the performer (in Latin), the title of the work and the playing time of this work. Each group must have a spare sound recording on a USB Flash Card, where the file name should be as follows: track name, group and city, for example: “Romans”, Iskorka, Tyumen. The USB Flash Card must not contain any other files other than the competition program.

In the vocal category, competitive works are performed only to a “minus” soundtrack (prescribed “backing vocals” are allowed only in the chorus). Vocalists are not allowed to perform in the competition program with a “plus” soundtrack.

The preparation and holding of the festival-competition is carried out by the Organizing Committee. The order of performances is determined by the organizing committee in advance; performances are carried out both in blocks and in separate numbers.

The organizing committee has the right to use and distribute (without paying fees to participants and guests of the competition) audio and video recordings, printed and other products produced during the competition events and following its results.

Travel and delivery of scenery, props and instruments is carried out at the expense of the competition participants or sent by technical experts. rider and is negotiated separately with the organizing committee.

Issues not covered by these Regulations have the right to be resolved by the organizing committee. The organizing committee reserves the right to make changes to the competition regulations.

When submitting an application, the managers/parents of competition participants automatically confirm their agreement with all points of this Regulation, as well as their agreement that the participant can be involved in competition events until 24.00.

Awarding of participants will take place only at the Gala concert. Previously, Diplomas are not issued, the results are not announced. Diplomas and prizes will not be sent to participants after the competition.

The Organizing Committee has the right to disqualify a participant, creative team, director for gross violation of the internal rules of the competition, violation of discipline and unethical behavior towards the Organizing Committee, jury members and other participants of the competition.

Participants of the competition do not have the right to view the protocols of the competition program without the permission of the chairman of the jury. The jury’s decision is final and cannot be discussed! Evaluation scores, according to the competition protocols, are not submitted for public discussion; managers can receive an extract from the minutes of the meeting of the jury members by postal or email within 7 working days.

The results of competitive performances are published on the Instagram page: @souz_talantov within 3 working days after the end of the competition.

The participant has no right to refuse to participate in the Gala concert.

General criteria for evaluating performances:

At the competition, the qualifying principle of evaluating the competitive program is applied.

The competition program is evaluated by the jury taking into account the age of the performers indicated in the applications.

Participants are evaluated in each nomination taking into account their age category. The jury evaluates the performance by closed voting, according to the following criteria: performance skill; artistic expressiveness of the performance (compositional, content and musical unity of the artistic image); entertainment (plasticity, costume, performance culture); performing enthusiasm and originality; artistry, disclosure of the artistic image, selection and compliance of the repertoire with the age characteristics of the performers, assessment of the audience.

Competition awards:

The results of the competition and awards are carried out in categories separately, taking into account age categories and provide for the award of the Grand Prix winner, taking into account the nominations of laureates of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd degrees, festival participants, special diplomas and more. The number of prize diplomas is not limited and depends solely on the level of the program presented by the competitors.

For the winners of the main prize of the Grand Prix competition and laureates of the 1st prize, diplomas and memorable branded statuettes of the Organizing Committee of international competitions and festivals “World music in Kazakhstan” are provided. For laureates of the 2nd and 3rd prizes, diplomas and medals.

All teachers and accompanists will be awarded certificates and letters of gratitude.

The jury has the right to divide places between participants.

The organizing committee has the right to add nominations and divide categories in accordance with accepted applications.

Cups are awarded to teams of over 10 people. Diploma 1 for the team leader, team members – a commemorative medal with the competition logo and a personalized diploma. If you participate in two or more nominations, for each nomination you will receive a diploma for the team. Team members are given personalized diplomas only one at a time, regardless of the number of nominations.

The participant’s full name will be copied as indicated in the application.

The jury evaluates the participants’ performances by closed voting and can divide the title of Laureate between several participants.

The Jury’s decisions cannot be appealed.

The organizer of the competition is not responsible for the decisions of the Jury and the awarding of places to participants.

Age categories:

  • 1st category: up to 6 years
  • 2nd category: 6-8 years
  • 3rd category: 9-11 years
  • 4th category: 12-14 years old
  • 5th category: 15-17 years old
  • 6th category: 18-20 years old
  • 7th category: over 21 and “Professional” nomination
  • Additional age group  – from 2 to 6 years

Accreditation procedure:

To be accredited to the festival, ALL participants must provide:

Application for participation (separately for each nomination) in electronic form

Team list in electronic form

The condition for participation in the presenter competition is the mandatory submission of an application for participation, resume, business card (photo)

Financial conditions (organization fee)

Soloists – 35 euros

Duets, trios, quartets, quintets – 25 euros /person

Teams from 6 participants and above – 20 euros /person

Accommodation and other services are available upon request.

Sample package for a group of 10 people:

  • Cost 250 euros/person, 1 leader free of charge.
  • Included: group transfer airport-(station)-hotel-airport(station) on the specified dates, hotel accommodation in 3-4-bed rooms, meals – breakfasts, dinners, 2 excursions around Almaty, transportation to the venue.
  • The price does not include: Registration fee.

When participating in 2 or more nominations – an additional payment for each additional nomination with a 50% discount.

With the participation of a soloist and other small forms in an additional nomination, the organizational fee is first paid as a solo (small forms), then the additional nomination.

If a participant fails to appear at the festival-competition for a reason beyond the control of the organizers, the registration fee is not refunded!

Notes*

All tracks must be sent to grand-olimpiada@mail.ru no later than December 5th. Each track/minus must contain in the title: 1. the name of the composition, as indicated in the application; 2. the name of the group/full name of the participant.

If the participant, for his part, cannot take part for any reason, the registration fee is not refunded.

If a letter of gratitude is required for the director or head of a school or studio, please indicate your full name and regalia in the application.

Sending an application to participate in the competition means that participants and their parents (legal representatives) are familiar with and agree with all points of these Regulations, and also give their consent to the use of photos and video materials with their participation by the Competition Organizer in the media and social networks.

Other conditions:

It is prohibited to throw foreign objects on stage during a performance, such as confetti, feathers, or use props with fire, foam or water.

It is prohibited to wear street shoes on stage, even during the run-through.

The choreographer and participants are allowed backstage at the invitation of the Organizer, only the next number according to the timing script. It is forbidden to be backstage without the invitation of the Organizer, or to go down into the hall from the stage.

Accommodation in dressing rooms occurs according to the allocation of the Organizer. It is prohibited to stay in someone else’s dressing room.

Additionally (for an additional fee) upon request:

• Excursion to Medeo (high mountain skating rink)

• Excursion “Winter Charyn” or “Petroglyphs of Tamgaly Tas”

Deadlines for submitting documents:

Applications for participation and group lists are accepted until November 20, 2023.

Full payment is due December 1, 2024
