International Multi-Genre Festival-Competition “Sunny Bulgaria”

Organized by the Organizing Committee of the International Creative Project for the Development of Children and Youth “Alliance of Talents” (Bulgaria).

Regulations:

Goals and Objectives:

  • Identifying talents
  • Bridging borders between different countries through creative exchange of talents
  • Motivating children and youth for further creative achievements

Applications are accepted until May 10, 2025.

Participants are invited from:

  • Musicians of various directions and ages, ensembles, orchestras, choirs, duets, trios, quartets, and other small forms, instrumentalists, vocalists, etc.
  • Choreography: dancers of all directions (folk dances, stylized dances, ballroom dances, etc.)
  • Artists, designers, fashion theaters, theatrical groups, readers, presenters.

Age Categories:

  1. 5-6 years
  2. 7-9 years
  3. 10-12 years
  4. 13-15 years
  5. 16-18 years
  6. 18-20 years
  7. 21 and older

Nominations:

  • Piano – soloists, Piano ensembles (only on one instrument for 4 hands)
  • String instruments – soloists, ensembles, small forms (up to 5 people inclusive)
  • Wind instruments – soloists, ensembles, small forms (up to 5 people inclusive)
  • Folk instruments – soloists, ensembles, small forms (up to 5 people inclusive)
  • Percussion instruments – soloists, ensembles, small forms (up to 5 people inclusive)
  • Orchestras
  • Classical vocal – soloists, ensembles, small forms (up to 5 people inclusive)
  • Pop vocal – soloists, ensembles, small forms (up to 5 people inclusive)
  • Choirs
  • Choreography – modern dance

Program Requirements:

  • For instrumentalists: 1 piece of free choice, with a total duration of no more than 5 minutes.
  • For vocalists: 1 piece of choice, with a total duration of no more than 5 minutes.
  • Choreography: 1 performance, not exceeding a total of 6 minutes.
  • For decorative and applied arts (fine arts): 1 work on any topic (bring a finished work and present it to the jury by reproducing a fragment. All necessary materials must be brought with you).
  • For fashion theaters and designers: 1 show, lasting no more than 10 minutes.
  • For readers: 1 piece or excerpt, with a total duration of no more than 3 minutes.
  • For presenters: 2 speeches on different topics, with a total duration of no more than 4 minutes. One speech on a free topic, the second as an introduction to a composer, poet, writer, or artist.
  • For theatrical groups: 1 performance, lasting no more than 10 minutes.

Evaluation Criteria:

  • Artistic expression
  • Brightness of artistic image
  • Stage presence
  • Understanding of the style of the era
  • Technical precision
  • Cleanliness of performance
  • Appropriateness of the competition repertoire to the age of the performers
  • Audience evaluation

The competition program is evaluated by the jury taking into account the age of the performer indicated in the application. The jury evaluates performances through closed voting. A qualification method of evaluation is applied at the competition. In the event of candidates with equal scores for the Grand Prix, the final decision rests with the Chairman of the Organizing Committee.

Awards:

  • Laureates of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degrees are selected in each nomination and age category.
  • The jury has the right to divide places, prizes, and other awards among participants.
  • All participants receive commemorative diplomas “For Participation.”
  • All teachers, sponsors, and leaders receive a certificate.
  • The Grand Prix of the competition is a cash prize and a commemorative statuette “Alliance of Talents.”

The Organizing Committee has the right to add nominations, combine and divide categories according to the applications received. The jury includes laureates of international competitions and honored figures from Italy, Poland, Russia, and Bulgaria.

The preparation and conduct of the festival-competition are carried out by the Organizing Committee. The order of performances is determined by the Organizing Committee in advance, and performances are held both in blocks and as individual numbers.

The Organizing Committee has the right to use and distribute (without paying royalties to participants and guests of the competition) audio and video recordings, printed and other products produced during the competition events and based on their results.

Travel and delivery of decorations, props, and instruments are at the expense of the competition participants or are sent as a technical rider and agreed separately with the Organizing Committee.

Issues not covered by these Regulations are decided by the Organizing Committee. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to make changes to the competition regulations.

Leaders/parents of the competition participants, when submitting an application, automatically confirm their agreement with all points of these Regulations, as well as their consent that the participant may be involved in competition events until 24:00.

The awarding of participants will take place only at the Gala Concert. Diplomas are not issued earlier, results are not announced. Diplomas and prizes are not sent to participants after the competition.

The Organizing Committee has the right to disqualify a participant, creative team, or leader for gross violation of the internal rules of the competition, violation of discipline, and unethical behavior towards the Organizing Committee, jury members, and other participants of the competition.

Participants are not allowed to refuse participation in the Gala Concert.

Cost: 550 euros

Included in the cost:

  • Accommodation in 3-4 bed hotel rooms with full board.
  • Transfers on official arrival and departure days.
  • Excursion in Varna.
  • Organizational fee for the group.
  • 1 free place for a leader of a group of at least 10 people.
  • For a group leader of more than 25 people, the flight is paid by the Organizing Committee.

Additional costs:

  • Surcharge for soloists: 30 euros per person.
  • Surcharge for small forms: duets 25 euros per person, trios, quartets, quintets 20 euros per person.
  • Excursion to Romania (Bucharest + Dracula’s Castle) – from 130 euros (optional).
  • Excursion to Sofia from 100 euros (optional).
  • Surcharge for double accommodation: 100 euros/person for the entire period.
  • Additional night: 60 euros/person in a triple room.

Possibility to continue the trip to the Czech Republic or any Schengen country. The cost is on request and directly depends on the number of people in the group.

Please note that obtaining a Schengen visa may take up to 45 days!
