GOAL:

To give children the opportunity to receive an unbiased assessment of their level of knowledge, obtain certificates and diplomas, apply the acquired knowledge in practice, exchange experiences, interact with leading universities in Kazakhstan, Russia, and Europe.

PARTICIPATION:

Schoolchildren and students from 7 to 22 years old are invited to participate

NOMINATIONS:

Russian, English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Czech, mathematics, physics, biology, management, art and culture.

Prizes:

Olympiad Grand Prix: 1 week at a summer language school in Europe or participation with accommodation in the Olympiad in Europe.

Nomination for Foreign Languages

Round I. Grammar and vocabulary test

Round  II . Essay

Round III – speaking.
(Participant 0-29, Pass 30-59, Achievement 60-79, Excellence 80-100).

Nomination in Mathematics and Physics is held in one round.

Nomination in the areas of “Art and Culture” is held in one round.

Regulations for instrumentalists and vocalists: 1 or 2 different pieces of free choice or one virtuoso piece or one part of a classical sonata/concert (performance time up to 8 minutes)

Regulations for choreography: 1 or 2 numbers, with a total duration of no more than 10 minutes.

Regulations for decorative and applied arts and visual arts: present one finished work and defend it by performing a fragment in a given time (not less than ¼ of the finished work).

JURY:

The jury of the Olympiad is made up of teachers from International Schools

Discounts on summer language courses are available for participants and winners.

The program, in addition to participation in the Olympiad, includes presentations of European schools, colleges and universities, and a tour of Almaty.

PROGRAM with accommodation:

Day 1

• Arrival in Almaty, accommodation.
• 14:00-19:00 Registration at the Olympic Organizing Committee.
• Free time for skiing, sledding, ballooning, skating.
• Lunch. Dinner.

Day 2

• 09-00 Opening of the Olympiad.
• 09:15 I round test for language nominations, main round for mathematics, physics.
• 10:00-11:00 II round – essay.
• 11:30-13:30 biology, management
• 14:00-17:00 III round of the Olympiad- speaking
• Breakfast, lunch, dinner

Day 3

• 09:00 nomination Art and Culture.
• Breakfast, lunch, dinner. For other participants – team competitions in football and basketball.
• Excursion around Almaty. Opportunity to visit the high-mountain stadium “Medeo”

Day 4

•  08-00 Breakfast. 09-00 Departure for the excursion “Winter Charyn” or “Petroglyphs of Tamgaly Tas” for the whole day (excursion with a hot snack)
• 17:00 Festive awards ceremony for the results of the Olympics.
• 18:00 Round table for managers.

Day 5

• 08-00 Breakfast. Free time
• 08-00 Breakfast. Transfer to the airport/train station.
