Make the summer last forever!

International festival-competition «The Spanish ballad» — a warm Mediterranean Sea hot Spanish sun, new acquaintances, creative atmosphere, and of course, the exciting days of competition! All the participants are certainly a lot of achievements, which they can share with colleagues and get the deserved estimation of their labors. Young talents from around the world, as befits a true artist, again and again ready to delight us with their creativity! It was here, in Spain, where the summer begins in April, where the gentle Mediterranean Sea makes it possible to meet the summer earlier than usual, have the opportunity to show their achievements during the long school year, meet new creative friends, get new ideas for new developments and of course to discover a new swimming season on the beautiful sandy beaches of the Costa Dorada! This competition provides an opportunity for young artists to become a winner of the prestigious international competition, as well as combined victory with a splendid holiday on the beaches of the Costa Dorada, a beautiful excursion program, exciting, breathtaking adventures in the park «Port Aventura», which is a 10 minute drive from our hotel. This festival of recommended to go with the whole family, the whole class or a whole course to spend together holidays in May and gain strength for the emotions and past exams. The festival-competition we are pleased to see not only the artists participating and their support groups!

The international multi-genre festival-competition «The Spanish ballad»

The Organizing Committee held an international creative project development of children and youth «WORLD MUSIC» in cooperation with the Spanish company «Terramar group», supporting by Tarragona city government and Bulgarian Committee «Talent Aliance».

Regulation

Goals and objectives:

Identifying talent, the disclosure of borders between different countries through the exchange of creative talent, motivation of children and young people to further success.

The deadline for applications from August 01, 2016 to October 01, 2016. For the first 30 people who applied, the entrance tickets to Port Aventura Amusement Park are gifted!

To participate in the competition are invited to:

Musicians of different directions and ages, bands, orchestras, choirs, duets, trios, quartets and other small forms, instrumentalists, singers, and others.

Choreography by dancers of all kinds (folk dances, stylized dances, ballroom dancing, etc.).

Artists, designers, theater events, theater groups, readers, compeers.

Age categories:

  • 5-6 years
  • 7-9 years
  • 10-12 years
  • 13-15 years
  • 16-18 years
  • 18-20 years
  • 21 and older

Requirements for the program

For instrumentalists 1, 2, 3 age categories – 2 works of free choice, total duration not more than 5 minutes.

For instrumentalists 4, 5, 6, 7 age categories – 2 diverse works. It is desirable if performance is polyphony or a large form + composition of own country’s author or composition of a technical nature. The total duration is not more than 8 minutes. Herewith it is permitted to perform a fragment of the composition. (For instance, the fragment of a sonata from beginning to reprise).

For vocalists:

1, 2, 3 categories – 2 diverse works of free choice and the total duration is not more than 4 minutes.

4, 5, 6, 7 categories — 2 diverse works of free choice and the total duration is not more than 6 minutes.

Choreography: for all categories and ages – 2 performances, but not more than 6 minutes in total.

For decorative and applied arts, and designers – 2 works.

For readers: 2 works or fragments: prose and poetry. The total duration is not more than 4 minutes.

For entertainer: 2 speeches for different themes, but not more than 4 minutes in total. The speech in free theme and the second as a representation of any composer, poet, writer, artist.

For theatres of fashion: 1 performance, but not more than 4 minutes.

For theatre groups: 1 performance, but not more than 5 minutes.

Assessment criteria: artistry, the brightness of the artistic image, scenic excerpt, understanding of era’s style, technical precision, purity of performance.

Evaluation: the jury evaluates by the 100 points system. The total score is calculated by adding all points.

When choosing a candidate for an award Grand-Prix, there are candidates with an equal points, then the last word remains to the Chairman of the Organizing Committee.

In each nomination and age category awards of 1, 2 and 3 degree, 1, 2 and 3 diplomas are selected. The Grand-Prix in one for all nominations and age categories.

The jury has the right to share degrees and diplomas and other awards among participants.

All participants who did not win in this competition are awarded with diplomas «For participating».

All teachers, sponsors and group-leaders are awarded with the stamped paper certificates.

Awards:

The Grand-Prix of the competition – 300 euro premium (99-100 points)

1st place – laureate diploma of 1 degree and invitation to one of the competitions, organized in any country by the Organizing Committee international project «World Music in Kazakhstan» with exemption from payment of registration fee (91-99 points)

2nd place – laureate diploma of 2 degree (61-90 points)

3rd place – laureate diploma of 3 degree (41-60 points)

4th place — diploma of 4th degree (21-40 points)

Special prize «Audience award» is given following artistry, the brightness of the artistic image, scenic excerpt, understanding of era’s style, technical precision, and purity of performance.

The program:

2 November

Transfer from Barcelona airport to the competition holding place (and staying place – Costa Dorada). *for early or late arrivals there is an individual transfer paying extra. An accommodation in the hotel. Checking in the competition organizing committee. Lunch for the arrived is until 2 p.m. and dinner is at 7 p.m. There is a cold supper for the people from late flights. **lunch and dinner are for those who booked Standart board.

3 November

7.30 — 8.30 a.m. — breakfast.

9.00 a.m. – transfer to the competition place. The trip to Port Aventura Amusement Park an or excursion to Montserrat highland Abbey (for those who don’t participate on this day, having packed lunch).

12.00 — Festival Opening ceremony.

1.00 p.m. – lunch.

7.00 p.m. – dinner.

4 November

7.00 – 8.30 a.m. – breakfast.

9.00 a.m. – transfer to the competition holding place. II competition day.

11.00 — an excursion to Montserrat highland Abbey or to Port Aventura Amusement Park (for those who don’t participate on this day (volunteers having packed lunches).

1.00 p.m. – lunch.

8.30 p.m. – dinner.

5 November

7.00 – 8.30 a.m. – breakfast.

The whole day excursion to Barcelona (packed lunches).

8.00 p.m. – dinner.

6 November

7.00 – 8.30 a.m. – Breakfast. Free time to relax at the sea. As alternative an excursion to Valencia or Salvador Dali Theatre – Museum in Figueres (packed lunches).

1.00 p.m. – lunch. 3 p.m. – transfer. The festival Awards regarding to the competition results.

05.00 p.m. — Transfer to the Award Ceremony holding place. Gala Concert. An excursion to Tarragona.

7.00 p.m. – dinner.

8.00 p.m. — meeting – discussion for group-leaders.

7 November

7.00 – 8.30 a.m. – Breakfast (for those who fly with the early flights the breakfast is received as the packed breakfast). Transfer to the airport. Going home.

Standard package

The cost for staying:

  • in 3 beds room – 430 euros
  • in a double room -450 Euros
  • in a single room – 530 euros

This price includes:

  • Staying in the hotel for 5 nights -3*
  • Meals – Breakfast, lunch and dinner (drinks are included). Packed lunch during the excursions.
  • Transfers to the airport – Costa Dorada airport (only on official check-in/-out days. For the guests, staying on the other days, the transfer cost is estimated based on the amount of people and the time). Official arrival timi is from 8 a.m to 8 p.m.
  • Handouts for participants
  • Maintenance to the competition location
  • Barcelona loop tour with seeing Antoni Gaudi’s famous masterpieces (Sagrada Familia temple, Mila and Batllo’s houses as well as Paseo Gracia, Catalonia squares, Montjuic Mountains and Olympic Village. For those who wish to visit Goel Park the enterence ticket costs 8 euros.
  • 1 place for the instructor of the group containing not less than 10 people is free.

Economy package

The cost is:

  • 330 euros for 3 beds room
  • 350 euros for a double room
  • 430 euros for a single room

This price includes:

  • Staying at the 3* hotel for 5 nights
  • 5 breakfasts
  • Transfers to the airport – Costa Dorada airport (only on official check-in/-out days. For the guests, staying on the other days, the transfer cost is estimated based on the amount of people and the time). Official arrival time is from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Handouts for participants
  • Maintenance to the competition location
  • For those who wish to book lunches and dinners they cost 4 euros per each (this price is valuable only for booking in advance with a tour. On arrival it will cost 10 euros per each)

 For the additional payment you will be able to have:

  • For solo participants – 20 euros per person
  • For mini bands (2, 3, 4 people) – 10 euros per person
  • Excursion to Montserrat abbey (40 Euros)
  • Trip to PORT AVENTURA Amusement Park children under 10–45 Euros, children older than 10 and the adults – 55 Euros. (as extra pay the two ways ticket for public transport costs 10 euros .It’s possible to organize transfer for groups more than 50 people)
  • Additional nights are 40 Euros for person.

Attention! The organizing committee ask all group-leaders to divide their students and parents following the numbers of people in the room as well as males/females division to avoid extra pay regarding to the hotel price-list.
